Dr. Hetal K. Brahmbhatt is a psychiatrist in Rancho Cordova, California. He received his medical degree from N.H.L Municipal Medical College and has been in practice for more than 20 years. He is extremely dedicated to helping students pursue their passions within the medical field. He has published over 10 papers within the past 2 years. 

Dr. Rakesh Patel is a psychiatrist in Johnson City, Tennessee. He completed residencies both in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at East Tennessee State University. Dr. Patel has been involved with several clinical trials, and his research results have been published in peer-reviewed journals. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American College of Physician Executives.

Akshay Reddy is currently an M3 at California University of Science and Medicine. He has a commitment to the field of ophthalmology, strengthened through his apprenticeship with Dr. James B. Martel, an esteemed ophthalmologist. Akshay has a strong background in research, achieving Laureate status in Cureus Journal of Medical Science. He has been granted a leadership role in S.L.R.S due to his accomplishments and dedication to research and medicine.

 Nathaniel Tak is currently a 4th year medical student at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. He has a strong interest in ophthalmology and artificial intelligence. He has conducted AI research across multiple domains, including medical imaging, diagnostics, and clinical decision support. His work places a strong emphasis on ophthalmology, where he explores the integration of advanced AI tools to enhance early detection and treatment of different ophthalmological diseases.

Justin Lien is currently an M3 at Western University. Justin has a strong passion in research, most notably an ecobiochemical analysis of invasive species presiding by his undergraduate institution in Rancho Cordova. He has since been involved in additional research through his commitment to the field of orthopedics and has made numerous significant contributions to the orthopedics community. He currently holds a leadership role in the Orthopedic Sig at his institution. He has been granted a leadership role in S.L.R.S due to his accomplishments and dedication to research and medicine.

Nick Iskandar is currently an M3 at the Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. As a result of his commitment to the field of medicine and research, he has been granted a leadership role within S.L.R.S. Throughout his life he has always been passionate about working with and providing treatment to chronic pain patients. He is currently conducting cardiovascular research and has recently published his ground breaking findings.

Ethan is currently an M4 at California Northstate University. He has a strong interest in Neurosurgery and founded his institution’s first Neurosurgery Student Interest Group. He is actively involved in student leadership and is committed to expanding access to surgical education for his peers. He currently serves as president of the Neurosurgery society and continues to support student-led initiatives that foster academic growth and mentorship. Outside of medicine, he enjoys wrestling, mixed martial arts, and building intricate metal models.

Dev is currently an M4 at California Northstate University. He has a strong interest in Emergency Medicine and hopes to use his training to serve both the communities of Northern California and patients in underserved regions abroad. He is actively involved in multiple student organizations and is committed to promoting access to timely, high-quality care for vulnerable populations. Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling, working with his hands, and exploring new cultures.

Sumer Sandhu is currently an M1 at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center medical school. S.L.R.S has recognized his strong passion for the field of medicine and dedication to research by granting him a leadership position within the organization. He has shown demonstrated interest for the fields of neurology and pediatrics. He currently holds several leadership roles within the student government and student organizations at his institution.
